About Rika Singh:

Thank you for visiting and taking an interest in my photography. I live and work in Durban, South Africa as a web and graphics designer and have always wanted to take up photography. In 2009 I enrolled in courses and began putting my lecturers teachings into practise. It has been an amazing journey and one of great excitement for me. Like design, you never stop learning when you are behind that camera. I truly love what I do and I hope it reflects in the pictures you'll see on my website and blog. Sarah & Seth | Pregnancy Shoot

Monday, September 20th, 2010

The arrival of baby Seth is a much anticipated event here. I have known my best friend Sarah for many, many years now and we knew Seth’s name when we were just girls in school uniforms, trying not to fail physics. ;) Okay, okay, it was just me trying not to fail. LOL. Sarah always knew her first boy, if she was blessed with one, would be Seth. :) Now that he is almost here, I have exciting, and awestruck feelings. A bit like: we’ve been waiting for you for about 12 years now and my best friend is a mum… I’m finally going to meet SETH. Exciting! See why I am awestruck? We’re growing up. LOL.

I did a pregnancy shoot for Sarah and baby Seth a few weeks ago. It went rather well considering how tired she was feeling. It was a hot day in Durban, humid and sticky. You’re just in time for your first Durban summer, Seth. I can’t wait to meet you!

Family Shoot | The Naicker Family

Monday, September 20th, 2010

I recently did a shoot for the Naicker family on a bright and sunny morning. They were easy going in front of the camera and happy to use the few props I brought along with me.
